Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and how you can control it.

1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Starlobe Technolabs ("STARMEET", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use www.starmeet.live (the "Service"), as an Attendee, Speaker, or Organization. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.
2. Information we collect
We only collect what's needed to run the Service:

| Payment metadata | Amount paid, payment status, and a transaction reference from our payment partner — see Section 5, we do not store your card/bank details |
3. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account, and show you the right dashboard for your role.
- To process workshop registrations and Organization subscription payments.
- To send account, workshop, and payment-related emails and in-app notifications (e.g. registration confirmations, reminders, receipts, approval status).
- To generate attendance-based certificates where applicable.
- To review and approve Speaker and Organization applications.
- To maintain the security of the Service and investigate misuse of the Acceptable Use terms in our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we don't currently use third-party advertising or analytics trackers on the Service.
4. Who we share it with
We only share information with the parties needed to operate the Service:
- Razorpay (our payment processor) — to process workshop and subscription payments and refunds. See Section 5.
- Email delivery — transactional emails (confirmations, receipts, notifications) are sent via a secure SMTP relay.
- Other users, where relevant to the Service — e.g. a Speaker can see the attendee list for their own workshop; an Organization can see its own staff and students. We don't expose your contact details to unrelated users.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of STARMEET or our users.
5. Payment information
All payments are handled by Razorpay, a licensed payment gateway. When you pay for a workshop or subscription plan, your card/UPI/bank details are entered directly into Razorpay's secure payment page — STARMEET never receives or stores your full card number, CVV, or bank credentials. We only receive a payment status and transaction reference to confirm your registration/subscription. Refunds are covered in our Refund Policy.
6. Cookies & sessions
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in while you use STARMEET. This is strictly functional — it's what lets the site remember who you are between pages — and isn't used for advertising or tracking you across other websites.
7. Data retention
We keep your account and workshop/subscription history for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period after (e.g. to maintain payment, refund, and certificate records for accounting and dispute purposes). If you'd like your account deleted, contact us — see Section 9.
8. Security
Passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing (we cannot read or recover your original password). Payment details are never handled by our own servers — they go directly to Razorpay. We restrict access to personal data on our systems to what's needed to operate the Service. No online system is 100% risk-free, but we take reasonable, proportionate steps to protect your information.
9. Your choices & rights
You can review and update most of your account details directly from your dashboard's Profile/Settings page at any time. For anything else — including requesting a copy of your data, correcting inaccurate data, or requesting account deletion — email us at starmeet.live@gmail.com and we'll respond as soon as we can.
10. Children's privacy
STARMEET is intended for users capable of entering into a binding agreement (see Terms of Service §3) and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us and we'll remove it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above whenever we do — please check back occasionally.
